With mild summer temperatures this weekend, I stayed in the city to catch up with friends and enjoy NYC nightlife. I was tired from a busy week at work but I wasn't about to let that dictate my weekend activities. I napped a little on Friday and Saturday and told myself to buck up. I managed to have fun during the day and also into the wee hours of the morning.
On Saturday, I strolled the High Line Park with my friend I met on a blogging trip to Israel. The High Line walkway is ever changing. Artistic expression pops up randomly along the elevated path. New exhibits are always entertaining, inspiring, or amusing. Many times a combo of all three. After enjoying a summer afternoon in the city, I went out with an ice skating friend to The Jane Hotel in the West Village. My friend and I danced into the morning with an eclectic group of Europeans and other internationals. Since I often wish I was still traveling, hanging out with guys from Sweden and New Zealand is a very decent option and keeps my thinking mobile.
While I try to live my weeks and weekends to the fullest, I continue to encourage you to do the same. When life is a touch more exciting and youthful, the return of Monday morning is much more tolerable. Hope you had a good weekend too! Happy Monday!
